Maurice Mermillot Mirecourt-Turin-Paris (1835 – 1901)

Maurice Mermillot apprenticed to Gaillard in Mirecourt. He was employed by Buthod in Paris in 1852 and moved to Rennes in 1853. In 1861, he worked for Nicolas Vuillaume in Mirecourt.he possibly became acquainted with A. Guadagnini (Vannes) and subsequently produced work for him. He returned to Paris to work for Gand & Bernardel and established himself independently on the rue Morel in 1876. This fine cello is made 1900 in Paris.
